The Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN) and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) are collaborating to produce draft REmap analyses, which identify renewable technology options in all sectors of the Nigeria energy system; assessing them in terms of costs and required investments as well as their contribution to climate and environmental objectives. The analysis is intended to harmonize the various renewable energy action plans for the country.

Accordingly, the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN) in collaboration with the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), is organizing a two-day validation workshop on Renewable Energy Roadmap (Remap) for Nigeria as follows:

             Date: January 28 - 29, 2020

Venue: The Wells Carlton Hotel & Apartment,8 Gado Nasko Close, Off Jose Martin Street,

             Time: 10:00am

The objectives of the workshop include introducing the IRENA Remap process to stakeholders in the nation’s energy sector, discuss and further develop the findings in the Remap analysis for each sector of the Nigeria energy system and come up with a harmonized renewable energy Masterplan for Nigeria.
