Functions of the Department:
- Coordinate the compilation of the annual energy statistics and energy balance and publish the same;
- Establishment and maintenance of the National Energy Data Bank;
- Coordinate with relevant departments data and information relating to National Energy Statistics, National Energy Balance, and National Energy Data Bank;
- Collaborate with relevant local and international stakeholders on energy data and information;
- Ensure effective management of the ECN reference library;
- Be the focal point of the Commission on energy information system;
- Be responsible for the copyright of ECN publications;
- Perform any other duty that may be assigned by the Management or the Director-General/CEO.
