The functions of this unit are:
- Perform the statutory functions assigned under the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria;
- Ensure that all activities of the Commission comply with the enabling Act;
- Be responsible for legal matters pertaining to the Commission;
- Oversee Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in the Commission;
- Advise the Commission on regulatory compliance with laws and agreements;
- Provide regulatory advocacy and representation;
- Perform any other assignment as may be directed by the Director-General/CEO.
