The functions of this department are:

• Policies and Programmes on applications of Nuclear Energy in the following areas:
  - Food & Drugs Quality Monitoring & Control.
  - Agriculture, Soil Mappings, Food Preservation.
  - Healthcare Delivery.
  - Electricity Generation.
  - Industrial Applications.
  - Water Resource Development.
  
• Carrying out any other assignment as may be directed by the Director General/CEO
