Launch of the 2nd Edition of the Nigeria Energy Calculator 2050 (NECAL2050)
The Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN) and Federal Ministry of Environment (FMEv) in collaboration with the United Kingdom Department of Business,
Energy and Strategy (BEIS) is pleased to invite you to attend the Launch of the 2nd Edition of the Nigeria Energy Calculator 2050 on Monday 21st March 2022 at
10:00 WAT.
NECAL2050 is an integrated model of energy demand and supply and related emissions and land use, it identifies energy secure pathways for energy demand
and supply between 2015 and 2050. The Calculator offers a platform for engaging about policy-making towards a more secure, sustainable and affordable energy future
for the country. The Calculator helps policy makers as well as energy producers and consumers to understand the energy and emissions related choices they are making
The Model was developed by the ECN and FMEv in collaboration with BEIS and technical support from Mott MacDonald, Imperial College London, Ricardo and Climact.
