Renewable Energy Department

The functions of this department are:

• be responsible for renewable energy policy formulation, planning, monitoring, and evaluation;
• be the focal point of the Commission for renewable energy industry activities;
• monitor the manpower issues in the renewable energy industry and collaborate with the ETMD on the same;
• collaborate with the EIS department on renewable energy statistics and information;
• collaborate with the EUMD on the promotion of renewable energy applications in all sectors of the economy;
• promote research and development in renewable energy;
• collaborate with relevant local and international stakeholders on renewable energy policy and planning;
• perform any other duty that may be assigned by the Management or the Director-General/CEO.
